M. Imran Sheikh has 21 years of rich experience in the field of Marketing, Consumer-based, Social and Public Health Research. He has worked for AC Nielsen for 10 years before opening up his own firm ‘Experts International’. He has been managing the company since last 11 years and has excellent exposure to the whole research process in terms of planning, monitoring, budgeting, training, application of different techniques of data collection, data coding & punching as well as data analysis and reporting. Imran has the honor of conducting Simulated Test Market (STM) study for the first time in Pakistan for a tobacco client and won accolades for it. He has worked for different sectors including Social, Developmental, Health, FMCG, Tobacco, Financial, IT, Hospitality and Education for various local as well as international clients/NGOs. Through the platform of Experts International he has been providing research operations and monitoring services to different local & international clients/NGOs. His major areas of expertise are ad testing, product testing, dairy method studies, brand health tracking, health impact assessments, consumer satisfaction studies, and number of different studies especially in Social, Telecom and Financial sectors. Dr. Hasan Bin Hamza

Senior Epidemiologist, Biostatistician and Public Health Researcher

Dr. Hasan Bin Hamza is an Epidemiologist and Biostatistician by qualification and training. Currently he is working on his PhD thesis titled "Breast cancer health care in Australia and Pakistan: Overcoming challenges in addressing high breast cancer case fatality in developing countries", at the University of Adelaide, Australia. Dr. Hamza has worked as a public health research professional in the service and academic sectors. His most recent association is with Socio Economic Development Concern (SEDCO) Islamabad, where he advises on research related matters from proposal development to project implementation, human resource training, data management and analysis as well as report writing. He has recently worked as Research Scientist - Epidemiology at Research and Development Solutions (RADS), Islamabad where he has designed and implemented large cross-sectional surveys on measuring reproductive health parameters in Punjab and Sindh. Previously he has held the position of Senior Instructor, Research and Research Supervisor in Departments of Family Medicine and Pediatrics respectively, Aga Khan University (AKU) Karachi-Pakistan. He was instrumental in establishing and implementing various components of a Vi vaccine effectiveness field trial undertaken by AKU in collaboration with the International Vaccine Institute (IVI) Seoul-Korea, under its Diseases Of the Most Impoverished (DOMI) program. Besides his current work on maternal and child health related issues in Pakistan his research interests also include infectious diseases, cancer and different aspects of medical education.  Dr Hamza has authored more than 12 peer reviewed publications and international reports on the topics of family planning, demand side financing vouchers, maternal health, child health, immunization and HIV.

Dr Shaikh is a Public health professional with sound expertise in Health Systems Strengthening including policy, management, financing, reforms, service delivery and human resource development. He has demonstrated a fine understanding of different public health domains such as Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn & Child health, Demand-side financing, Gender, Social Marketing of health, Social Determinants of Health, and Health Systems Analysis. He worked with federal MoH as well all provincial health departments including AJK & GB. He has also been involved in qualitative as well as quantitative analysis and research works. He carries a sound experience of health systems development, blended with strong academic and research in public health issues of Pakistan. He is worked in projects funded by W.H.O., EC, DFATD, USAID, KfW, DFAT, DfID, French, Norwegian and Italian Foreign offices. In recognition of his cutting edge work on health systems of Pakistan, the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh has awarded him the fellowship in Public health. Ghulam Mustafa

I am a socio-cultural anthropologist and have expertise and experience in multidisciplinary and participatory research, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and knowledge management. My professional experience mainly involves designing, implementing and supervising qualitative/quantitative research studies including need assessment studies, baseline surveys, consumer/client segmentation studies, product/service acceptability studies, midline special qualitative studies and end of project evaluation studies; developing research proposals, study protocols and tools/questionnaires; qualitative data collection/analysis and interpretation of statistical data; report writing; manuscript development, knowledge management and dissemination of research results/findings. I completed my Master of Science (MSc) with research in socio-cultural anthropology in 2007 from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan. After completing my degree requirements, I joined Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) Islamabad in 2008 as a Research Associate in a pilot research project focused on promotion of alternative and sustainable energy solutions and in 2009 I joined Marie Stopes Society (MSS) Pakistan as a Research Officer. Currently, I am working as a Deputy Senior Manager Research, Monitoring and Evaluation with MSS Pakistan which is part of Marie Stopes International (MSI) and is working in Pakistan since 1991 to promote sexual and reproductive health and rights of the people in the country. Overall, I have more than seven years of professional research, monitoring and evaluation experience in the field of social science research aimed at promoting evidence-based maternal, newborn and child health and sexual and reproductive health and rights. Along with being a co-investigator in six multiyear successfully completed operational research projects, I have published as a lead author and co-author sixteen research papers in acclaimed national and international peer-review research journals.
